Stylized Portraiture

: an intentional chaotic lack of structure resulting in a stripped back almost amateurish performance of art primarily using photography as a medium. Conscious abandonment of formal and established photography norms in exchange for instant gratification and intuitive/ instinctive capturing of the subject in the present. Allows subjects/models to become comfortable as the lack for stereotypical formalities( in regards to the photographic process ) are not immediately present. Can be honed with understanding of lighting.

Heavy dependent on competent social skills and deconstructed power dynamics between artist and subject. ( no power dynamic apparent in this particular social interaction) Inherently non-academic. Works in conjunction with roaring 2020s increasing individuality.
